The principal mission of the Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Department (BMG) is to facilitate the resources needed to develop, execute, and interpret analytical tests in clinical chemistry, and to promote research and training programs in laboratory medicine. The Department is comprised of a multidisciplinary staff with extensive experience in setting up and implementing analytical techniques, such as radioimmunoassays, enzyme immunoassays, genetic analysis, high-resolution chromatography, mass spectrometry, DNA sequencing, genomics, and proteomics.
