"Saber Vivir", from the morning magazine "La Mañana" of TVE, reports on Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer Program in Barcelona, which all samples are analyzed in the Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Department of CDB.
Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer Program has recently expanded and is expected to reach the entire population of Catalonia in 2017, representing approximately to the CDB an annual activity of 55,000 determinations of hemoglobin in feces.
The Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Department analyzes not only the entire population of Barcelona, but also participants of Osona and Vallès Oriental.
This preventive activity is aimed at men and women between 50 and 69 years, asymptomatic and with no family history of colorectal cancer.
