Attention and service to our clients is carried out through the Client Management Unit (CMU), which handles all interactions with patients from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and external laboratories in a single structure. The professionals working in the Unit have a customer-oriented profile and are dedicated to fast, efficient resolution of incidents.
The following tasks and processes are coordinated within the CMU:
- Preanalytic. In our comprehensive reception system, samples are immediately identified and full traceability begins. Sample pretreatment is initiated at the time the sample is received, to preserve its quality and the reliability of the results.
- Postanalytic. This function involves delivering the results and complete, personalized client attention. Incidents are resolved and requests are channeled to the remaining CDB Departments.
- Extractions. The Sample Extraction Center of CDB attends more than 800 patients daily and is equipped with the infrastructure needed to perform the most complex sample acquisition techniques. The Center has a modern queue management system, in which the patients’ average waiting time does not exceed 15 minutes.
The CMU’s extensive experience allows it to take on logistically and technically complicated projects, even at the national level.
